VP of Membership & Membership Services

Critter Coughlin

Hello, my name is Critter Coughlin, I joined ASLA after moving to Salt Lake after my graduation in 2023 and have been eager to further my involvement and contributions to our professional organization. I served as a subcommittee member for Membership & Membership Services so I am familiar with the responsibilities that come with this position and look forward to adding greater contributions to our Utah Chapter.

VP of Visibility & Public Affairs

McKenna Montgomery

McKenna Montgomery has eight years of experience in landscape architecture, across a wide range of project types locally and internationally, and across climates and scales. Her work reflects a deep passion for connecting people to nature through thoughtful design.

She holds a Bachelor’s in Landscape Architecture and Environmental Planning from Utah State University and a Master’s in Landscape Architecture from Hoschschule Anhalt in Germany, where she focused on urban design and natural swimming pool systems. Her international education and experience inform her understanding of how well-designed cities, green spaces, and transit systems elevate quality of life.

McKenna is no stranger to ASLA Utah, having served on the Visibility and Public Affairs Committee and currently contributing to the Membership Recruitment & Retention Subcommittee. She values the role of landscape architects as public advocates and believes in using design as a tool for community connection, storytelling, and visibility.

As a candidate for Vice President of Visibility and Public Affairs, McKenna is excited to bring her experience, creative energy, and collaborative spirit to amplify the voice of ASLA Utah, engage allied professions, and spotlight the power of landscape architecture through events, outreach, and public engagement.
